LumberJacks Come Up Short at Texas, 5-4
The Texas Renegades topped the Ludington LumberJacks, 5-4, in To The Wall Baseball action at The Cavern. The standout performance belonged to Texas pitcher and Sydney, Australia, native Timothy Qualtrough. Mark Geehan notched his 20th save in 22 chances. With the win, Texas raised its record to 37-35.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter José Pérez came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Ludington pitcher Mark Graham, he hit a 2-1 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Texas on top, 5-4.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Qualtrough.
