The home crowd had a good time watching the Duke City Heisenbergs and Columbus Red Birds get after it.

The Columbus Red Birds downed the Duke City Heisenbergs, 11-1, at Griffith's Park. Eduardo Martínez led the way, going 2-for-4 for Columbus. The winning pitcher was Joe MacFadden. He's now 8-7. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits for the Red Birds.

With Columbus leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Martínez hit a fastball from Robbie Lamb for a 2-run home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season and put the Red Birds ahead, 3-0.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Columbus manager Joe Koralewski.

The triumph puts Columbus at 42-30 for the season.
