6-2 Loss Extends Diablo Canyon Losing Streak
|
The Dam Site Drifters topped the Diablo Canyon Tritium, 6-2, in To The Wall Baseball action at Superior Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Dam Site pitcher and Calabozo, Venezuela, native Carlos López. López got the win, improving to 5-6. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. López allowed 2 runs. Dam Site has a 3-game win streak, while Diablo Canyon has lost 6 in a row.
Sloan Vincent dealt the Tritium a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Dam Site leading 2-1, Vincent, who finished 5th in the TTWB in doubles with 44 last year, hit a 1-2 slider for a 2-run single.
"It was a solid team effort," said Vincent after the game.
