Turkey Vultures Fall Short, 2-1, at Dam Site
The Dam Site Drifters picked up a win at Superior Stadium, courtesy of Jun'ichiro Sakai. The right-hander helped his team stop the Central Valley Turkey Vultures, 2-1. Sakai went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-3. Valentín Valdés was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.

Germán Sosa was a prime factor in the win for the Drifters. In the bottom of the seventh with one out, the 27-year old catcher hit a run-scoring single. He was 1-2.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Dam Site manager Andy Evans.

The 7th-place Drifters have won 4 straight games.
