Turkey Vultures Win Thriller, 3-2
|
The Euclyptus Nest was rocking after an exciting Turkey Vultures win.
The Central Valley Turkey Vultures beat the Ypsi Yard Cats, 3-2. Central Valley pitcher and San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, native Rubén Chávez led the way. The win has Central Valley at 22-42.
The Turkey Vultures were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when catcher Enrique Román turned a 0-1 fastball from Greg Soto into a bases-clearing double. The walk-off double electrified the The Euclyptus Nest denizens and sent the Turkey Vultures home with a thrilling 3-2 win.
"We take it day by day here," said Chávez, "and today was a good one for us."
