Phoenix Lose to Heisenbergs, 3-0

Erjan Schoe pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Reykjavik Phoenix, despite Schoe's fine outing, dropped a 3-0 decision to the Duke City Heisenbergs at Flaming Ashes Ballpark. Duke City reliever Bartolo Vélez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Erjan Schoe absorbed the loss. Duke City now has a record of 31-31 with the win.
It could have been a different outcome for Duke City, had it not been for Ricardo Hernández, the former first round draft pick . Hernández contributed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put Duke City up, 2-0.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Duke City manager Kris Abrams.
