Motown beat Great Black Swamp in a rain-soaked ballgame.
A good performance from third baseman Ray Buker helped the Motown Hitmakers defeat the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens, 9-3. Buker was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Hitmakers. Michael Booth was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.
With two out in the bottom of the first, Luis González barreled up a forkball from Jason Rame. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Hitmakers in front, 5-0.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Corey Slutsky said.
The victory gives Motown a record of 37-24.
