Rodríguez Goes Distance in 6-1 Win
|
Columbus had no answer for Texas Renegades hurler Mario Rodríguez, who overwhelmed Red Birds hitters as the Renegades coasted to victory, 6-1. The victory gives the Renegades a record of 30-27.
Rodríguez, who dominated for Texas, earned the victory to move to 5-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 6. Columbus batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Rodríguez said after the game.
