The Reykjavik Phoenix beat the Asheville Boomsticks by a score of 6-5. Reykjavik center fielder Tomás Romero deserved the lion's share of the credit. Romero went 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. Romero had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a full count sinker from Tommy Potts, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Phoenix a 5-4 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Romero.
