Nightmare, Okimasa Pin Bad Loss on Fishers
|
Behind the hitting of Takamori Okimasa, the Nashville Nightmare stopped the Wildwood Fishers, 10-2. Okimasa went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Nightmare. The winner was Juan Castro, who threw 106 pitches over 7.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 4 hits. With the victory, the Nightmare upped their record to 29-24.
Okimasa contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Nashville in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Okimasa took a fastball from Kelly Hanes and stroked the home run to left. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Nightmare to leap in front, 4-2.
"Enjoyed this one," Okimasa told the Nashville Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
