Great Black Swamp picked up a win at James R. Fouts Memorial Stadium, toppling the Duke City Heisenbergs, 3-1. Pitcher Nelson Sánchez was one of the reasons the Mud Hens triumphed. The win puts Great Black Swamp at 21-32.

Great Black Swamp used a timely hit from Roberto Ayala to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mud Hens ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We had a good game plan," Sánchez said, "and we were able to execute it."
