The Columbus Red Birds defeated the Letterkenny Shamrocks, 5-3, in To The Wall Baseball action at Griffith's Park. Columbus pitcher Scott Thomas had a standout performance. The winner in relief was Rickey Gentry. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-6. With the win, Columbus upped its record to 31-22.

Columbus took a 4-3 lead on Kamala Kamaluhaiakapu's 11th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Kamaluhaiakapu hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Letterkenny pitcher Ronald Conley shaking his head.

"Feels good to get the job done," Kamaluhaiakapu said after the game.
