Renegades Prevail, 4-2, Over Nashville
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Texas Renegades and Nashville Nightmare.
The Texas Renegades got a stellar effort from pitcher Kian Hayward, helping Texas score a win over the visiting Nashville Nightmare, 4-2. Hayward, now 4-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.
In the bottom of the fourth, Texas first baseman Calvin Ward had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and two out, Ward stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-1, Texas. For the game, he went 1-2, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Ward.
The victory gives Texas a record of 26-23.
