Columbus first baseman Eduardo Martínez had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Nashville Nightmare, 3-2. Rickey Gentry earned save number 12 this season. With the win, Columbus pushed its record to 28-18.

With Columbus leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Martínez hit a fastball from Cody Mabty for a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Red Birds ahead, 3-0.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Martínez said.
