Heisenbergs Lose to Fishers, 8-3
|
Wildwood picked up a win at Carp Coliseum, bumping off the Duke City Heisenbergs, 8-3. Pitcher Brian Hicks was a major reason the Fishers emerged victorious. In 9 innings, Hicks surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. The Fishers have an impressive 26-14 record.
In the bottom of the third, Burt Harrington hit a 3-run home run. The 3rd home run of the season for the Wildwood designated hitter put the Fishers on top, 4-2.
Hicks expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
