Lorenzo Hernández was a major factor in the 11-4 Ypsi win over Dam Site. The Yard Cats shortstop was 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win elevated the Yard Cats to 26-15.

With Ypsi leading 5-2 in the top of the sixth, Hernández hit a fastball from Connor Conner for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Yard Cats ahead, 8-2.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Hernández told the Ypsi Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
