Heisenbergs Deal Fishers 10-3 Defeat
|
Getting a good performance from left fielder Domingo Robles, the Duke City Heisenbergs defeated the Wildwood Fishers, 10-3. Robles was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Heisenbergs. Duke City reliever Wilson Padilla picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Arturo Cintrón was saddled with the loss. Duke City is now 19-22.
Duke City used a well-timed hit by Kaponianani Laionela to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Heisenbergs ahead, 5-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Laionela. "And not try to do too much."
