Drifters Stun Yard Cats, 6-3
|
Dam Site Drifters starter Rusty Campbell pitched a strong game against the Ypsi Yard Cats at Superior Stadium, leading the Drifters to victory, 6-3. Jun'ichiro Sakai, now 1-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Dam Site now has a 3-game win streak.
Germán Andrade hit a 2-run double off Ernesto Santiago in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Drifters in front, 5-3. In addition to the double, Andrade had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Andrade told the Dam Site News.
