Despite a fine performance by right fielder Melvin Stevens, the Central Valley Turkey Vultures lost to the Nashville Nightmare, 12-7. Stevens went 3-5 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Daniel García came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. The win gives Nashville a season record of 18-18.

Nashville needed the clutch hitting of Felike Keokia to notch the win. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Nightmare on top, 8-7. For the game, Keokia had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

Keokia told the Nashville Bulletin: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
