Mud Hens Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Iowa City
The home crowd had a good time watching the Iowa City Stalkers and Great Black Swamp Mud Hens get after it.

The Great Black Swamp Mud Hens beat the Iowa City Stalkers, 8-3, at The Nest. The Mud Hens got a fine performance from second baseman Jassiem Coblah, who was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Alejandro Carapia. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 4. Getting the save was Dave Harding, his 1st.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Coblah, the 16th overall pick in the 2045 draft, hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Mud Hens into the lead, 5-2.

Coblah said his team "played with focus."

The 8th-place Mud Hens lifted their record to 16-20.
