Turkey Vultures Top House of Brews in Extras, 4-2
|
The Newcastle House of Brews got a superb performance from pitcher Jerry Elder, but the Central Valley Turkey Vultures still won the game, 4-2. Elder threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The Turkey Vultures sport a record of 13-22.
Central Valley used the clutch hitting of Edgardo Hernández to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Turkey Vultures ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Hernández.
