Yard Cats Lose to Nightmare, 5-3
|
The Nashville Nightmare topped the Ypsi Yard Cats, 5-3, in To The Wall Baseball action at The Squid's Beak. The standout performance belonged to Nashville pitcher and Guadalupe, Mexico, native Juan Castro. The 4th-place Nightmare sport a record of 16-17.
Nashville relied on the hitting of Jorge Mendoza to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Nightmare on top, 5-0. For the game, Mendoza had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Castro.
