Columbus beat Motown on the strength of starter Scott Thomas's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-1. Columbus now has a record of 21-12 with the win.
Thomas, who was born in Detroit, Michigan, threw 95 pitches over 9 innings, while allowing 1 run.
