Zakaria Olopoto was a vital contributor to the 7-6 Ypsi victory over Nashville. The Yard Cats catcher was 2-4 with a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. At 21-11, the Yard Cats have played well so far.

The Yard Cats got an important contribution from right fielder Alfonso Alemán, who in the bottom of the third hit a 1-1 sinker into right-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Yard Cats ahead, 3-0.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Nashville manager Matt Tomczak. "But we decided not to take it."
