The Newcastle House of Brews picked up a win at Moses Fleetwood Walker Park, taking down the Letterkenny Shamrocks, 4-3. Starting pitcher Dave Garrett was a big reason why. In 8 innings, Garrett surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. The save went to Will Starks, his 10th this season.

The House of Brews got an important contribution from catcher Anuenue-Akua Mamo, who in the bottom of the third hit a curveball into center for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the House of Brews ahead, 4-0.

"We'll savor this win," Garrett told the Newcastle Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."

The House of Brews, now 19-10, have been red hot.
