Mud Hens Suffer 9-6 Setback
The Dam Site Drifters bested the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens by a score of 9-6, with third baseman Richard Spivey getting the main credit. On the day, Spivey was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Drifters. The loss puts Great Black Swamp at 9-18.

Dam Site used the timely hitting of Ángelo Fernández to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Drifters on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Spivey. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
