Elliott has 4 hits tonight, Leads Mud Hens to Win
A 4-RBI performance from first baseman Jason Elliott led the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens to a win over the Asheville Boomsticks, 13-6. The winning pitcher was Alejandro Carapia. He's now 2-2. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits for the Mud Hens. The defending champion Mud Hens are off to a horrible start to the season, notching only their 9th win in 26 games.

With Great Black Swamp leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Elliott hit a cutter from Pancho Lugo for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Mud Hens ahead, 3-0.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Mud Hens manager Casimir Koralewski. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
