House of Brews Suffer 6-3 Loss to Ypsi
The Ypsi Yard Cats overcame a fine performance by Newcastle shortstop Anastasio Díaz to defeat the House of Brews, 6-3, at The Squid's Beak. Díaz was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The win gives Ypsi a record of 15-9.

The House of Brews had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Yard Cats going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old catcher Zakaria Olopoto came to the plate. Olopoto hit a 2-run double on a 1-1 fastball from Newcastle hurler Dave Garrett. It was Olopoto's 8th double of the year.

"We did a lot of things right," said Olopoto.
