Hitmakers Lose, 5-1, at James R. Fouts Memorial Stadium

The Duke City Heisenbergs knocked off the Motown Hitmakers, 5-1, at James R. Fouts Memorial Stadium. Eric Woodruff was a big reason Duke City won. The designated hitter was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win belongs to Luis Olivares in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Bartolo Sánchez took the loss for Motown. Despite the loss, Motown is still 16-6.
The Heisenbergs got an important contribution from shortstop Willie McCray, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a 2-1 sinker into left for a 2-run double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Heisenbergs ahead, 4-1.
