Central Valley rode a good effort from starter Sergio Taváres to beat the Reykjavik Phoenix at The Euclyptus Nest. The final score was 3-0. Taváres got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 4 over 5.1 innings. Taváres allowed no runs. Reykjavik drops to 12-9.

The Turkey Vultures got a big at-bat from second baseman Dave Wells. For the game, Wells was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Central Valley a 2-0 lead.
