Quintero Hits 2 home runs in Stalkers Win
A good performance from right fielder Héctor Quintero helped the Iowa City Stalkers defeat the Asheville Boomsticks, 7-3. Quintero was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Stalkers. Mark Townsley, the winning pitcher, is now 2-2. He went 9 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 0. Quintero had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch cutter from Pancho Lugo, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Stalkers a 5-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Quintero.
