The Central Valley Turkey Vultures picked up a win at Superior Stadium, knocking off the Dam Site Drifters, 6-3. Starting pitcher Sergio Taváres played a key role in the triumph. Central Valley reliever Michael Veeck was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jun'ichiro Sakai took the loss. Central Valley goes to 8-8.

Declan Tindale provided a timely hit. The Central Valley third baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Turkey Vultures on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"What we get, we earn," Taváres told the Central Valley Herald.
