|
The Wicker Park Devil Cats got a superb performance from pitcher Topher Clark, but the Duke City Heisenbergs still won the game, 3-2. Clark threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. For the Devil Cats, the loss makes their record 6-10.
Duke City used the bat of Shawn Thomas to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Heisenbergs ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Thomas.
