Close Win Moves Turkey Vultures to 6-7
|
The Central Valley Turkey Vultures topped the Indianapolis Indians, 4-3, in To The Wall Baseball action at Thunder Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Central Valley pitcher and Fort Worth, Texas, native Joe Hamilton. Hamilton got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Hamilton allowed 3 runs. Indianapolis falls to 5-8.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when shortstop Bronson Fouracre, who is tied for 7th in the TTWB in hits with 17, hit a triple. The Turkey Vultures went on to win.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Fouracre told the Central Valley Herald.
