Asheville rode a fine outing from starter Lien-ying Xun to victory over the Diablo Canyon Tritium at Quick Stop Stadium. The final score was 6-2. Nobuhito Sai sewed up the save, his 1st. Diablo Canyon falls to 5-8.

With two out in the bottom of the third, Junior Villegas barreled up a forkball from Dave Beauchamp. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Boomsticks in front, 4-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Villegas said after the game.
