The home crowd had a good time watching the Central Valley Turkey Vultures and Indianapolis Indians get after it.

Getting a good performance from second baseman James Hufford, the Indianapolis Indians defeated the Central Valley Turkey Vultures, 11-5. Hufford was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Indians. Randall Evans got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 5 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. Holden Mann earned the save for Indianapolis, his 1st.

Juan Paredes went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs for Indianapolis. The slick-fielding third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Matt Thomas. It was his 9th RBI of the season.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Paredes.

Indianapolis goes to 5-7.
