Heisenbergs Lose By a Run at Dam Site, 5-4
|
The Dam Site Drifters did just enough to secure a victory over the Duke City Heisenbergs, 5-4, at Superior Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Frank Bryant. Trevor Armstrong was credited with the save for Dam Site, his 2nd of the season. The Heisenbergs, now 3-10, continue their sluggish start.
George Matthews chipped in for Dam Site with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Matthews said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
