House of Brews Beat Nashville, 2-1
|
Newcastle got a strong outing from Sergio Ramírez as the House of Brews defeated the Nashville Nightmare, 2-1, at Flaming Ashes Ballpark. The Nightmare, 5-7, continue their poor start to the 2052 campaign.
Newcastle used the clutch hitting of Terry Turner to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the House of Brews ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Newcastle manager Paul Collins.
