The Ypsi Yard Cats beat the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens, 4-2. Ypsi pitcher and Hauppauge, New York, native Horace Bush led the way. The win puts Ypsi at 7-4.

Bernardo Portillo, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Portillo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Ypsi up, 1-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Ypsi manager Patrick Holt. "Our pregame was pretty good."
