Shamrocks Lose to Renegades, 4-1
|
The Letterkenny Shamrocks went down to defeat to Tim Whaley and his Texas teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Renegades. Whaley went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-0. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Mark Geehan.
Texas took a 4-1 lead on José Guevara's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Guevara hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Letterkenny pitcher John Totten shaking his head.
"We had a good game plan," Whaley said, "and we were able to execute it."
Letterkenny drops to 5-5.
