Indians Score Late to Upend Nightmare, 7-3
|
Nashville got a decent performance from pitcher Robbie Robinson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Indianapolis Indians. Indianapolis won the Flaming Ashes Ballpark contest, 7-3. Robinson threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Holden Mann came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The loss drops the Nightmare to 4-5.
Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Juan Paredes to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Indians on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a solid team effort," said Paredes after the game.
