The Iowa City Stalkers withstood an impressive performance by Ypsi right fielder Francisco Dávila to defeat the Yard Cats, 6-5, at Hayden Fry Field. Dávila was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Fu-Kang Ow got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 runs on 8 hits in 6.2 innings. Harold Parker earned the save for Iowa City, his 2nd.

Yoshihide Tezuka had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Iowa City. He came through with a bases-clearing double to put Iowa City in front, 6-2.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Tezuka said after the game.

The win puts Iowa City at 5-2.
