Hitmakers Drop Stalkers, 7-1
|
Behind a fine performance from Ray Evans, the Motown Hitmakers knocked off the Iowa City Stalkers, 7-1. Evans went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Hitmakers. The loss makes Iowa City 2-1.
Motown took a 5-1 lead on Evans's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Bobby McMillan in the top of the seventh, propelled Motown to the win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Evans told the Motown Daily News.
