Derek Ferguson was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He led the Savannah Scouts to victory 1-0, blanking the Kalamazoo Solicitors on 2 hits. He had no walks and 9 strikeouts.
"You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," Kalamazoo skipper told reporters after the shutout loss. "He just had a real deceptive fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
