Sunday, August 25th , 2052
The future looks extremely bright for Richard Franklin. At the age of 23, many players are still trying to find their way in TTWB Short Season A.
Franklin has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Sub League 2 Outstanding Hitter Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .343 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said.
The Stockton Dead Birds star also put up a .460 on-base percentage this year, with 91 hits, 16 doubles, 1 triple, 9 home runs, 78 RBIs and 50 runs scored.
He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 20. Johnathan Brown of the Fulton Cannons finished second in voting, while Malcolm Bennett of the Fulton Cannons finished third with 1 first place vote.
