3-HR Day for Aguilar Monday, June 17th , 2052 Gustavo Aguilar of the Moonrunners went on a hitting spree at Skirmishers Ballpark today and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a 11-5 loss to the Fulton Cannons. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Aguilar said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The Pelham third baseman did indeed have quite a game, collecting 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. Gustavo Aguilar hit a solo-shot off Valentín Reyes in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Valentín Reyes in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Valentín Reyes in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This year Aguilar has 11 home runs and a .260 batting average. |
