Star of the Week Named in SL1 Monday, May 27th , 2052 So far in his young career, Carlos Gómez has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Sub League 1 in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Oakland Muggers center fielder hit at a torrid .455 clip as he collected 10 hits in 22 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Posting a .329 batting average to date, Gómez has 5 home runs and 17 RBIs. |
