Reliever of the Year Award Goes to Perales

He may only be 21, but Orlando Perales of the Bakersfield Carcasses has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Ulysses S. Grant League.

The reliever was today named the UGL Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2052.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 26 saves in 34 relief appearances and 61 strikeouts in 39.1 innings. He had a record of 5-1 to go with his 0.92 ERA.

He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 22. Rodrigo Báez of the West Bloomfield Wannabees finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Jason Snider of the Michigan Belly Itchers finished third.
