Sims Shuts Out Hamlinburg, 3-0 Friday, August 2nd , 2052 Everything clicked on the hill today for Hayden Sims as he hurled the Garland Commanders to a 3-0 shutout win over the Hamlinburg Barons, limiting them to 3 hits while recording 9 strikeouts and yielding 3 walks. He overpowered some batters with fastballs and buckled knees with sharp breaking pitches. "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," Barons manager said. "We just weren't able to get to him." This year Sims has pitched 75.1 innings over no relief appearances, picking up no saves and held opponents to a .236 average.
