Savoie Week's Best Player Monday, July 22nd , 2052 So far in his young career, Mike Savoie has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Theodore Roosevelt League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 20-year-old Greenwood Gladiators second baseman hit at a torrid .419 clip as he collected 13 hits in 31 at-bats, no home runs, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored. So far this season, Savoie has recorded a .315 batting average with 28 hits, 1 home run, 14 RBIs, 10 runs scored and a .340 OBP. |
